Atari VCS Ad #16: Freedom
Posted June 22, 2019 by Ric Pryor
Atari is steadfastly refusing to announce any game titles for the VCS. That, combined with recent focus on the sandbox mode and the console's potential appeal to tinkerers makes me think we're not far from a frustrated social media director posting "Make your own damn games and leave us alone!"

Mindless Self Indulgence

"Mindless"?!?!
"Mindless"!!?!??!?!??!?!!??
Son, if you put half as much thought into your online purchases as I put into my trolling, you wouldn't have pre-ordered a VCS.

Never ones to let a good trademark go uninfringed, Atari has "borrowed" and old idea from Microsoft to help new users with the VCS interface.

I think VCS owners will be fine. It's the VCS engineers who need help.

I asked my friends if any of them wanted to come over and play this Atari 2600 game I just found and they all gave me the weirdest looks.

Atari VCS At E3: Day 3
Posted June 13, 2019 by Ric Pryor
It's the last day of E3 and things are pretty quiet on the VCS front following a whirlwind of activity on days one and two. Overall, though, it was a very successful expo for Atari. First they announced that potential customers can go to a different website to buy a console that still doesn't exist. Then they invited a crew from CNET to their hotel room to shoot video while they played Ms. Pac-Man on a PC running Stella. If that doesn't shut the haters up, what will?
