Atari VCS At E3: Day 1

In a press release Atari announced "exclusive distribution partnerships" with Walmart and GameStop with the "official" online presale beginning later this week.

I guess all those presales done through Indiegogo were last summer were "unofficial."

Also, they made it uglier.

The Experts Have Spoken... You're No Expert

The "Atari" you're so vehemently defending isn't the Atari that made your beloved 2600. That Atari vanished years ago, replaced by a French company called Infogrames that bought the rights to the name Atari and started using it about ten years ago.

But I'm no expert. I write about the Atari 2600 for a national retro video game publication and have a collection of over 360 games, including one I developed, but I no longer own my original 2600 so I humbly defer to your expertise on this subject.
