While crowdfunding pre-ordering for the new Atari VCS will begin next week, consoles won't begin shipping until next spring at the earliest. If you put $200 into a CD at 2.5% interest, one year from now you'll have $205 and no VCS. If you give that $200 to Atari SA on May 30th, one year from now you'll have $0 and no VCS.
